Experience Through Their Eyes

One of the best chicken parm sandwiches that I've had in awhile! This restaurant is on Main Street but off the usual State Highway by a few blocks. It's definitely worth stopping in for a bite to eat or to pick up a to-go order. Noting that refills on iced tea are NOT free. I must have missed this advisory on the menu, but otherwise, no complaints. Also, there is a 3.5% surcharge on credit card purchases so cash is king if you're anything like me (and like to benefit from credit card reward incentives )

I stopped into this cozy little town on the way from the northern tip of NH to its southern boarder. I saw this little spot with the home grown small town feel. The poutine with chicken tenders added to it was one of the best poutines I have had. I highly recommend this place. Can't wait to stop back in for the pizza.

My fiance and I stopped here on a long drive across the state. Ate here and definitely was not disappointed! The food was great! Had the NCF burger. Yum. Cooked to perfection. Fiance had the Ruben. No complaints. Appetizer of the Fried Mushrooms. They were big mushrooms. Plenty of them. Very good. Plenty of variety of cold beer. The fries were perfect! Our waiter was super nice and attentive. The cook/manager was also very nice and you could tell she cared about the food she made. 5 stars. Definitely stop here and eat folks! This small town diner will not dissapoint!

Normally I would not give a restaurant like this 5 stars, but i think for the experience I had, they've earned it! My friend and I pulled into town on Eclipes Monday around 1pm. We knew full well that there was only one restaurant in town, and that we were likely going to have to wait. So we waited; we were already where we needed to be, so if we got seated and served, bonus. Well, it didn't work out. But, they were trying, and the young lady serving tables was trying her best. Some were mad they didn't get their food, and that they may have even run out. But hey, how many people showed up there? Yet they still let anyone who needed it use their bathroom. That's a HUGE plus! Forward a few hours after the eclipse, hey let's try again. There was no wait (yet ... there was when we were leaving), and they had burgers! And the bathroom was still available for anyone who needed it! The burgers were exactly how I figured they would be. We asked for medium, and we got medium. They were juicy, good bacon, good fries! We were full, happy, and "relieved". That same young woman was still waiting tables, and she was *happy*! Not all grumpy about how busy they were. And the bathroom was clean and there was still plenty of toilet paper. It's a (really) small town restaurant. I hope some of the other low reviews are not typical. I'm thankful that we were welcomed in the town and that a good grilled burger was available.

Great north country comfort food. Excellent service is a bonus. This hidden diner is a fine option for passing travelers or even locals who just need a break from the kitchen but still want home cooked American fare.
